What is Title IX? What are the concerns about proposed changes to Title IX?

"With its new Title IX rule, the Biden administration is pursuing a radical agenda and proposing a change to our laws and to our educational system that will do irreversible and long-lasting harm to women, girls, the wrongly accused, our faith institutions, and freedom of speech." - Sarah Parshall Perry, The Heritage Foundation

Patti Hupp joins the FB live discussion on Title IX and the call to action to save women's sports.

Patti Hupp has been involved in the sport of track and field and cross country as an athlete, coach, or manager for over 30 years. She is a USATF Level 2 certified coach in sprints, hurdles, relays, multievents, and jumps. She also has USATF Level 3 credit in cross country, USTFCCCA Level 1 and ALTIS certification. She has held positions as a Head high school Coach, track club owner, college coach and was formerly the Sports Event/Track & Field Manager at Norton Sports and Learning Center, a world class indoor track and field facility in Louisville, KY. In addition to her track and cross country background, she holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from Indiana Wesleyan University and a M.Ed in Educational Leadership and Curriculum Design, also from Indiana Wesleyan University. She is originally from the Chicagoland area but now resides with her family in St. Augustine, Florida, where she coaches for Jacksonville Athletic Club. She and her husband will celebrate their 25th Anniversary next year and they have three children, 22, 20, and 17. All three children are heavily involved in sports. She has two daughters, making the transgender sports issue something that could affect her family directly. She has deep concern for the threat to Title IX and to all the work that women have done to come so far, only to potentially become insignificant again, not only in sports, but in the workplace, in academics, and all other facets of life.
